The installation was particularly challenging with regard to access as both the redundant and the new air handling units had to pass through a 2M x 1M opening.
To achieve this the new AHU unit was supplied in flatpack form and assembled in situ.
Scope Works:
- Isolate electrical supplies to existing AHU.
- Disconnect existing AHU Pipework.
- Disconnect existing ductwork.
- Supply and installation of flatpack thermal bridge AHU that was assembled on site.
- Supply and installation of a plate heat exchanger.
- Modifications to existing pipework to suit new AHU layout.
- Modifications to existing ductwork connections to suit new AHU layout.
- Supply and installation of Insulation.
- Disconnect and remove vertical CAT ladder.
- Supply and installation of new access stairway.
- Mains power & Control wiring to plant.
- Testing & commissioning of all new systems
- Client handover completed Inc electronic/paper versions
